Carolyn Grant
Managing Director

Carolyn established Avviso Public Relations in 1992. She works on strategic plans and consulting on all business in the company.

Carolyn has been a journalist in Australia and the UK and has worked in major PR firms and for government.

She is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and a committee member of the PR industry’s Registered Consultancies Group.

She was on the Premier’s Advisory Council for the Youth in Media Awards, and a committee member of the NSW Australia Day Council and the NSW Centenary of Federation Council as well as supported many national charities such as the Cancer Council, Red Cross and Smith Family with PR services.

Larry Shutes
Director

Larry is Finance Director of Avviso Public Relations and is in charge of financial management of the company.

Formerly Finance Director and Deputy Managing Director for Chase Corporation Australia, Larry holds a B.Comm (UNSW), and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is currently Chairman and Non-Executive Director of ETT Limited.

Erin Young
Consultant

Erin completed her Bachelor of Communication (Public Relations) at University of Canberra in 2002.

After graduation, she worked as a book publicist in Australia with HarperCollins Publishers and spent two and a half years working in a leading technology PR agency in London, where her clients included BlackBerry and Pantone.

At Avviso, Erin manages accounts across a broad cross-section of areas including the arts, environment, not-for-profit, technology and events.

Erin has also worked in a pro-bono capacity with The Starlight Foundation, Wheelchair Rugby Oceania Championships and Oxfam Australia.

Nicole Tiedgen
Consultant

Nicole completed her Bachelor of Media and Communications at Sydney University in 2006, majoring in journalism, public policy and media law.

Whilst at university, Nicole worked as a journalist for ACP magazines and has several years experience in media relations, events management and hospitality.

Nicole joined the Avviso team in 2008 after traveling around the world for a year. At Avviso she combines strong writing skills and media relations with her project organisational abilities.

Elle Fleming
Office Manager

Elle manages the Avviso office. She provides liaison to assist with project and billing enquiries.

Elle completed her Diploma in Business Marketing at St Patrick’s Business College in 2007.

She also gained media experience through a six-month internship at Madison Magazine.
