ETT ENDS RURAL BROADBAND DROUGHT
New satellite service operator ETT Limited is bringing satellite broadband to remote and regional Australians, providing high-speed internet connectivity to the thousands of Australians who are unable to access land-based broadband connections.

SYDNEY'S NEW ICONIC BUILDING
Avviso announced a new iconic building for Sydney by Mirvac and Australian Super in March.
The new project at 8 Chifley Square features a creative concept design collaboration between the internationally renowned teams from Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and Lippmann Associates, with further development by Mirvac Design.
The design is dramatically different to anything seen before in the Sydney landscape and is targeting six-star Green Star and five-star ABGR ratings. With its distinctive contemporary design and leading sustainability features, 8 Chifley Square will set a new benchmark for Sydney’s premium commercial towers. |

WORLD PREMIERE OF 12 CANOES
The National Film & Sound Archive of Australia presented the world premiere of a unique adaptation of the new 12 Canoes website as a work of cinema to celebrate the creation of the NFSA as a statutory authority on 1 July 2008. Rolf de Heer and Elders of the Ramingining community, Arnhem Land presented at the celebration that Avviso promoted.
The multi-layered website, to be launched later this year, follows the worldwide success of the feature film 10 Canoes and is a collaboration with media artist Molly Reynolds, with Rolf and the Yolngu people of the Arafura swamp. |

CARTER HOLT HARVEY LAUNCHES SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM
Carter Holt Harvey, Australia’s leading manufacture of wood products, launched its Wood, Naturally program this month with a video highlighting the green, sustainable credentials of timber and the green accreditations adhered to by Carter Holt Harvey.
The video, created by Media Circus, was scripted and managed by Avviso, who are now working with Carter Holt Harvey on their environmental program and producing regular newsletters on the green initiatives of the wood industry in Australia.

AVVISO SELECTED FOR TOURISM PANEL
Avviso has been selected by Tourism Australia for its new public relations panel. A set of agencies will form the panel, including our sister agency – Pinque - located on premises with us that specialises in conference and exhibitions work.
The agencies will work on strategy development, media liaison and training, through to social media networking and advocacy. The panel of agencies will service all four Australian-based business units of Tourism Australia including corporate communication, domestic marketing, business events Australia, and global PR. |
